On the 23rd of April, 2nd class will be making their first Holy Communion in Eyrecourt Church at 11 o'clock. After the ceremony, all the family are going to the hall for a little party. It is a very busy time for the second class and everyone is working hard.

On the 7th of May the Darkness Into Light walk will take place in Ballinasloe. It will begin at 4:15am. It's a 5km circuit and you will finish at the Emerald Ballroom. You can sign up on the day, or you can contact one of the leaders of the Pieta House.

The night before we were presented with new gear. Our first game was against Ahascragh Fohenagh. Eyrecourt had to travel to Ahascragh.Unfortunately we lost the game by 8 points but we had 2 games on Saturday. On Saturday morning we had an early start; we met in the square at 8:00.

The musical was put on by Loughrea Musical Society. Mr. Barrett, who teaches 2nd, 3rd and 4th class in our school, was in the musical.
The musical was about a man called Robbie Heart who still lives in his grandmothers basement and is New Jerseys' favourite wedding singer. Bláithín has taught in China for the last year and is staying on for another year. She teaches ages 2 to 15. She doesn’t think the Chinese people are very friendly. It is because of the different culture. The children are very attentive and are easy to teach.
